For my latest article for Jane’s Defense Weekly, I travelled to the Lebanese border, where a senior IDF officer told me that there is growing evidence for cooperation between the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and Hizbullah.
Highlights from the interview:
- Hizbullah uses LAF military assets for intelligence-gathering activities against Israel
- Hizbullah continues to avoid a large-scale conflict with Israel at this time, and is not seeking to initiate a major border terror attack, as it is sunk in Syria’s war.
- Nevertheless, this Iranian-backed Shi’ite army continues to pose the biggest military threat to Israel.
